Wembley International Kindergarten is a well established (since January 1984) English medium kindergarten situated in theTaikoo Shing area.

What do we do?
Wembley International Kindergarten offers a pre-education programme which involves children in a stimulating learning environment that encourages physical and intellectual curiosity. Adopting an interactive and flexible approach to teaching is the mainstay at Wembley International Kindergarten.The medium of instruction is English. We follow the British Curriculum and a KEY PHONETIC Approach, Pre-Math Work, General Knowledge, EQ, Music and Movement, Physical Activity, Art and Craft, Interactive Drama. Politeness, Respect and Moral Education Etiquette are greatly encouraged as is Environmental Awareness.
Age

- Nursery Class (K1) 2 years 8 months up
- Lower Kindergarten (K2) 3 years 8 months - 4 years 8 months
- Higher Kindergarten (K3) 4 years 9 months up International P1 and P2

School Hours
Morning Session 9:00am - 12 noon
Afternoon Session 1:00pm - 4:00 pm

Staff
Classes are conducted by fully qualified native English speaking teaching staff registered with the Board of Education. A minimum class ratio from 1 to 7. Two teachers are assigned to each class. Besides being qualified the present staff are very loyal and long serving enhancing inter-teacher cooperation and cohesiveness.
The Principal, Ms Jean Afford, has been with the kindergarten since inception in 1984 and leads the staff by example. Ms Afford is an interactive Principal who also teaches a class.

Afternoon Extras
Extra Curriculum
There are several extra-curricular activities throughout the year that include a "Pat a pet programme", where interaction with live animals is designed to nuture a caring attitude towards animals. English, Mandarin and Cantonese classes. These run in the mornings and afternoons and are designed to enhance skills and in particular language skills.

Tots program
This programme has been running for 11 years. It is on an optional basis of 1-1.5 up to 3 hours per session, minimum 3 times per week depending on the requirements of the parents.

Summer program
The summer activities begin in July and run through to August from 9am to 12 noon with the following classes on offer for children between the ages of 3 and 7 years.
Pat a pet programme, Music and Rhymes, Arts and Crafts, Interactive Drama, Dancing, Cooking, Phonetics and Outdoor Activities.
Snacks, cooking, worksheets and all arts and crafts materials are included. Priority will be given to students taking the full course. The TOTS class for children aged approximately 2 years to 3 years will be for students already enrolled in Wembley.

Where are we?
We are on the 2nd Floor of Tang Kung Mansion, just above the Taikoo Management Office, a short walk from D1 exit Taikoo MTR Station and near the Cityplaza.

How to apply?
Application forms HK$10.00 each are obtainable at the office of the kindergarten. The completed form together with registration fee of HK$500.00 should be returned to the office as soon as possible. This will be taken as part payment of the tuition fee.
Upon registration 4 passport size photographs and a copy of your child's birth certificate will be required.

Fees
The school fees for this academic year are 3200HKD pm for the kindergarten pupils and 3000HKDpm for the TOTS program. Please contact the school for further details
